Dear Friends of iWag,

You may be aware that we had been planning, for almost two years now, to relocate our current Decatur shelter.  The building housing our existing Decatur shelter has been sold and will be demolished and redeveloped this fall.  Unfortunately, we have met some unexpected roadblocks developing our new shelter. At this time, a new Decatur location is up in the air.

Since there may be a delay in our relocation, our priority is the safety of the dogs in our care.  We have a deadline of August 31st to find adoptive homes for our Decatur dogs.  To help encourage adoptions, adoptive homes with veterinary references will be offered FREE BASIC ADOPTIONS (normally $399) and $399 OFF ADOPTIONS WITH TRAINING until further notice.

We have been operating at capacity at both locations and the state of animal welfare at this time is jeopardized by the economic climate, housing shortage, inflation and more.  We are pleading for your help to overcome these obstacles and find homes for our amazing dogs before time runs out.

>  Adopt a dog!  Or foster to adopt, where you borrow a dog to see if they are a good fit!

Operations at Decatur will continue as normal for adoption, boarding and daycare minimally through August 31st.  We will reassess our situation as we move forward, providing timely updates as we have them.

Our Temple operations for dog boarding and training will continue as normal.
